Configuring Auto Payment Hours (RPS)

To ensure your direct debits are processed as quickly as possible, Cloud Depot’s Recurring Payment System (RPS) now allows you to specify hours when Auto Payments should trigger.

Why use an Auto Payment Hours?

Without a defined payment hours, automated transactions may run before you have reconciled in the morning or after your banking cut-off time. For instance, with WorldPay if a payment is processed at 4:00 PM, it will miss the daily bank batch and delay funds reaching your account by at least one business day.

How to Set Your Payment Hours

  1. Navigate to Recurring Payments -> Configuration -> Global Payment Options

  2. Locate the Auto Payments section.

  3. Under the “Only run Auto Payments during…” setting, select the option that best matches your requirements. Once this option is enabled and saved, the “Pay invoices when due (Auto Payments)” setting will be disabled and your selected window will take priority.

 

Tip: For WorldPay customers with a high volume of direct debits, we recommend selecting the “Short Work Day” option.
