Autotask Sync Faults due unsanitized data

Unsanitized data can cause API requests to fail due to special characters leaking through into the API

Autotask sync faults can be caused by unsanitized data in the API. Data entered (pasted) into Autotask through the web app or a 3rd party API application can sometimes contain special characters that can cause API requests to fail. Autotask has filters in place to prevent this, but they are not always effective.

If unsanitized data is causing sync issues, we ask that you try to identify the bad characters in the text input and sanitize them.
