Multiple connection error when connecting Xero to Cloud Depot
Your account has multiple connections to Cloud Depot (X) however your login to Xero doesn't have access to all the Xero accounts (N), please ask the subscriber of your Xero account to resetup the connection between Cloud Depot and Xero.
Troubleshooting: "Multiple Connection Error" with Xero
If you are attempting to reconnect Xero to Cloud Depot and receive the following error message, this article explains why it is happening and how to resolve it.
"Your account has multiple connections to Cloud Depot (X) however your login to Xero doesn't have access to all the Xero accounts (N)..."
What does this error mean?
This error is a security safeguard from Cloud Depot. It occurs when your Cloud Depot account is trying to connect to multiple Xero Organizations (e.g., separate entities for different regions), but your specific Xero user user login does not have permission to access all of them.
When we attempt to refresh the connection, Xero checks your permissions against every organization we know about. If you are missing access to even one of the connected organizations, Xero blocks the entire connection attempt to prevent unauthorized access.
How to Fix It
There are three ways to resolve this, depending on your role within the company.
Option 1: The "Subscriber" Method (Recommended)
The easiest fix is to have the person who owns the Xero accounts (the Subscriber) perform the reconnection.

Ask the Xero Subscriber to log in to Cloud Depot.

Navigate to the Xero connection page.

Click Reconnect. Because the Subscriber has access to all organizations by default, the connection will succeed immediately.
Option 2: Request Access
If you need to manage the connection yourself, you must be granted access to every Xero organization currently linked to Cloud Depot.

Ask your Xero Administrator to grant your user account "Standard" or "Adviser" access to the missing organizations.

Once you have access to all of them, try the Reconnect button in Cloud Depot again.
Option 3: Use the Disconnect button in Cloud Depot
This option will remove the Xero session ID for this organization and all other connected organizations. Those organizations will lose access and will each need to be reconnected to restore their Xero connection.
