Configuring Single Sign-On (SSO) for Cloud Depot

To streamline your team's login experience and reinforce account security, Cloud Depot supports Single Sign-On (SSO). Instead of managing a unique Cloud Depot password, your users can instantly authenticate using their existing Xero or Microsoft (365/Entra ID) enterprise credentials.

4. Single Sign-On is now active for this profile. To disable it at any time, click the button again to disconnect.

Before you begin you will need to have Cloud Depot two-factor authentication turned on.

Why Use Single Sign-On?

  • One-Click Access: No separate login details or passwords to lose or remember.
  • Inherited Security: Your organization's corporate security policies—including mandatory Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Conditional Access rules—will automatically protect Cloud Depot.

Setting Up Your Account Link

Before using SSO, a user profile must already exist in Cloud Depot and two-factor authentication must be turned on.

1. Navigate to [User name], view profile

2. Click either the 'Enable login with Xero' or the 'Enable login in with Microsoft' at the bottom of the sign-in prompt  (you can enable one or both).

3. Complete the Single Sign-On (SSO)

You will need to be logged into Xero or Microsoft to setup and enable SSO.

4. Single Sign-On will be active within the profile, if you would like to disable the Single Sign-On click the button again and it will allow you to disconnect.

Please Note:

  • Two-factor Authentication is required to be active on your account.
  • Your username and password will still remain active after Single Sign-On is active to please ensure you use a strong username and password in Cloud Depot along with your SSO.
  • Single Sign-On doesn’t override any access IP restrictions (if any) that are setup those rules will still apply.
