This article explains how you can use the invoice audit feature to view the output of a invoice and assist you with configuration and troubleshooting
How to run
The invoice audit tool can be accessed either from the context menu inside the Sync Overview page by clicking 'Run sync audit'
Or you can run the report by navigating to Autotask to Xero -> Configuration -> Sync Audit Tools
Running the Audit
Input the Autotask invoice ID if it is not already filled in, and then click the Simulate button. Please note that this process is in read-only mode, meaning that no data will be transmitted to Autotask or Xero.
The time required for the tool to complete its operation can vary based on the size of your Autotask invoice. If the invoice is particularly large, it may exceed the allocated 90 seconds for processing. In such cases, we recommend selecting a different invoice for the simulation.
The tool will go through the different components of the invoice sync and provide you with feedback.

In this example the tool has identified an issue: the Autotask customer has multiple contacts, but a Xero User Defined Field (UDF) position has not been selected. To facilitate a quicker update of contacts, we offer an option to view the relevant contact directly in Autotask from Cloud Depot.
